My family has has owned The Dunes Restaurant since I was born, 40 years now. Growing up in the service industry, I knew nothing but local seafood, soft crabs and hospitality. When I was little, my Mom would tell the servers to make sure I was wearing shoes and not to push too hard on the doors because I wasn't tall enough to be seen through the glass. I started working at the age of 13 by doing Toast and dressing plates. I worked with three sisters that cooked lunch and today I still work with two of them at dinner. I have enjoyed tending bar for the past 10 years. Bartending became more than mixing drinks but providing local knowledge, where to get soft crabs, you name it. I wanted to help because you asked the Bartender, he's supposed to be the man who knows everything. By growing up here and knowing the Outer Banks inside and out, I’m ready to apply this helpful method to my real estate clients and help them buy and sell the properties they seek either for their next home or a property that produces an income.
